The division IMS
At UL Identity Management & Security (IMS) we aim to make the cyber world more secure. We work with our customers to test, validate/verify, certify, and advise on their functional security and nonfunctional cybersecurity of their products, systems, and ecosystems. We make sure the security functions of products and systems work as they should, and we help customers test their connected technologies for hackability. As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a IT Technical Senior Specialist with a focus on IT Operations to join our team in Leiden, The Netherlands.
You will supports developers and customer needs while ensuring compliance with corporate standards. Executes maintenance, installs and ensures the integrity of a full range of UL computer systems including but not limited to the network infrastructure and servers.
What you’ll learn & achieve:
You will provide deep digital DevOps expertise and experience in traditional software and operations.
Provide differential expertise in Cloud platforms.
Translates development and operations concerns into technical requirements, to be part of solution designs leveraging as best as possible the chosen underlying technology stacks.
You will ensuring that the solution accurately reflects and meets the defined expectations of the business, from both a functional and technical perspectives.
Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions.
Experience using agile software development methodologies (desirable)
Administers, maintains, and repairs all information technology solutions, including Local Area
Network (LAN) operations, Wide Area Network (WAN) operations, server operations and containerization.
You will assists Development teams with DevOps.
Backs-up and maintains the server, ensuring that data is recovered in the event of any failures.
Maintains hardware and software in compliance with corporate standards.
Acts as the liaison with vendors to repair or replace hardware.
Supports help-desk function for internal and remote users.
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Performs other IT related duties as directed.
What makes you a great fit:
You have a Bachelor degree in an Applied Science or a related discipline plus generally two years of directly related experience.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of computer systems including network infrastructure and servers.
You have a demonstrated ability to work independently, and demonstrated high level organizational and multi-tasking skills in a technical environment.
